Pasture-raised and delicious
We raise chickens on pasture. It's a big deal.
There's a million reasons to pasture-raise our chickens, but this is the products page, so we'll focus on flavor and nutrition. Chickens eat grass, weeds and bugs. It adds a lot to their diet, and makes them super-tasty and higher in the good omegas. And they stay super-healthy in the fresh air and clean grass. We've never once needed medications of any kind.
We raise two different lines of chickens: one on organic, soy-free, corn-free feed, and one on conventional, locally-milled feed. We believe that organic farming is very important, but it's expensive and we want to have farm-fresh options for more people.
Also, the Lamb
Following the chickens, who fertilize the grass so well, we have our flock of sheep that thrive on our richer-every-season pasture. We move the flocks every three days, ensuring fresh grass and less health issues. When we do have lamb from our flock, it's amazing.
Pigs! Turkeys!
These are very seasonal, but we do raise turkeys for Thanksgiving time, and pigs on occasion. Both get organic, soy-free feed, and both cruise around the farm just like everyone else.
Eggs
We do have flocks of free-ranging chickens for eggs, but eggs are limited. Our flocks are small and most of our eggs are already reserved by our regular meat customers. But get in touch! We'll try and work you in. Organic-fed and soy-free
